Role Overview
As the Java Architect, you will be the ultimate authority and leader for core backend architecture within the engineering team. You will be responsible for defining, designing, and overseeing systems built on the Java platform, including integration with our LLM services, large-scale data processing, and enterprise security. Your work will directly impact our product's performance, scalability, and code quality.
Core Responsibilities
Your role will cover four key areas: Technical Leadership, Architectural Quality, Integration Collaboration, and Continuous Innovation:
I. Architecture Leadership & Standardization
- Technical Leadership & Guidance: Provide leadership and guidance to development teams on Java-related technologies, best practices, and architectural patterns.
- Standardization: Ensure adherence to software development standards and architectural principles, particularly for microservices, high-performance APIs, and data persistence layers.
- System Design: Lead the end-to-end design of critical system components and services, ensuring high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
II. Code Quality & Process Optimization
- Code Review Oversight: Oversee code reviews and ensure that all Java applications are written with clean, maintainable, and efficient code, while conforming to the latest security standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement processes for continuous improvement and optimization, including automated testing, performance tuning, and technical debt management.
- Performance Optimization: Focus on benchmarking and optimizing the performance of core services and data pathways to ensure the system can handle high-concurrency enterprise loads.
III. Client Integration & Collaboration
- System Integration Expert: Work closely with clients and the Solutions Architecture team to integrate the company's products into client environments, ensuring seamless system integration.
- Customized Solutions: Provide customized solutions and architectural guidance as needed to accommodate specific client requirements (e.g., security protocols, data compliance).
- Cross-Functional Communication: Act as a senior technical representative, collaborating with internal Product, SRE, and Security teams to resolve complex technical integration challenges.
IV. Technical Innovation & Foresight
- Technology Foresight: Stay current with emerging Java technologies, frameworks, and industry trends (e.g., Spring Boot 3, Quarkus, Reactive Programming).
- Evaluation & Enhancement: Continuously evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance product development and provide innovative solutions, especially concerning the encapsulation and deployment of LLM services.
- Knowledge Sharing: Lead internal technical workshops and knowledge sharing sessions to elevate the Java proficiency of the entire engineering organization.
What We Look For
- Experience & Background: 8+ years of professional Java/J2EE development experience, with at least 3 years acting as a Software Architect or Tech Lead.
- Deep Technical Stack: Expert proficiency in the Java ecosystem, including Spring Framework (Spring Boot/Spring Cloud), microservices architecture, containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes), and mainstream cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Architectural Experience: Proven experience in designing and deploying large-scale, high-availability, high-performance enterprise systems.
- Quality Driven: Strong abilities in code review, unit testing, and performance tuning.
- Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex architectural decisions to diverse technical teams and senior management.
- Education: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
